In this studio course, I worked on designing a Data Center and a Fitness Center in Downtown LA, exploring the unique relationship between these two seemingly opposite programs. The project aimed to create a dialogue between the public and infrastructural realms, considering how they interact and negotiate with each other. We questioned traditional building typologies associated with these programs and sought novel responses to ecological and environmental challenges. Emphasizing the importance of landscape and outdoor space within the dense urban context, the projects aimed to examine the relationship between architecture, context, program, and environment.
